Dear Friends,

First off, THANK YOU to all who have supported me already in my fund raising!

Many people ask me why I am involved with Love Hope Strength. The answer is simple — because we help make a difference. With under a half dozen actual employees, LHS is made up of an arm of volunteers — who together we have signed over 19,000 people up to be on the national bone marrow registry, and found 260 potentially life-saving matches.

It’s wonderful to be part of something so small, that has such a large impact. And it’s the foundation’s dedication to help make a difference in people’s lives is what propels me to volunteer for them again and again.

I will be carrying prayer flags up Everest, and for anyone, I will write down the name of a friend or family member who could use a prayer or remembrance (no need to donate, I’d love to do this for you). I’ll take photos of your flags when I get to Base Camp, and will email them to you. For donations over $100, I’ll print and frame a large copy of your prayer flag photo(s), and mail to you. This is just my way of showing how much I appreciate your support.
